My Story
At our forward-thinking therapy clinic, passion transmutes work into something extraordinary, an unparalleled experience. This ethos is vividly reflected in Annette’s pioneering initiative, FUNctional Aquatics.
Over an emotional journey spanning 24 years in occupational therapy, Annette has earned a stellar reputation for her uncompromising service standards.
A proud member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Aquatic Therapy Rehab Institute, Annette’s academic journey began locally at the University of New Mexico. She achieved her OT Bachelor of Science in 1999, a stepping stone into the world of therapeutic innovation. The years following her graduation, spent in school environments and community service, profoundly influenced her therapeutic approach, particularly in pediatric intervention.
Annette discovered her calling in addressing the needs of the underserved. This led to her specialization in Aquatic Therapy Sensory Integration for adults on the DD Waiver, a field where her extraordinary impact became evident.
Inspired by the transformation she could bring to her clients’ lives, Annette was motivated to establish her clinic, which came to fruition as a unique therapeutic experience.
FUNctional Aquatics Therapy was launched in 2013, paving the way for a new era in therapy.
Today, FUNctional Aquatics Therapy has blossomed into a thriving practice, providing services to clients of all ages, from early intervention to adults with physical and developmental disabilities. Annette takes great pride in keeping abreast of the latest treatments and research, ensuring her team is well-educated to deliver exceptional care for every client.
Annette’s profoundly ingrained belief in her motto, “Live, Work, and Play Better,” truly encapsulates her therapeutic practice’s ethos and transformative impact.
